Wells Town Bowls and Petanque Club
Petanque at Wells Town Bowls ground.
The refurbishment of the Petanque pitch and social facility was completed earlier this year and has been successfully used for playing during the summer months.
There will be regular Petanque sessions during the October 26 to April 27 months.
The sessions will be at the Bowls and Petanque Club’s ground on Mill Road.
Initially, there will be 2 organised sessions each week.
Wednesday 2pm to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 12pm.
Boules and playing equipment are provided, also guidance on how to play.
As the weather conditions change through the seasons towards Spring 2027, the days and times will be altered so that playing sessions happen during favourable conditions.
Use of the Club Pavilion will help with the cooler and less predictable weather.
There are kitchen, refreshment and toilet facilities.
The cost is £5 per person for the 2-hour session, with a complimentary first session for residents in the local area. An opportunity to try the game out.
The Club also offers a £35 membership through to 31st March 2027. This membership includes all Petanque playing sessions. It will suit regular players and allows use of the Petanque facility outside the organised sessions.
