Come and play bowls !
We’re passionate about sharing how much fun lawn bowls is to play and we’re very keen for ‘YOU’ to come and ‘give it a go’.
There are lots of opportunities to do so and you get a FREE first session to come and try it and see what you think.
You need bring nothing apart from ‘yourselves’, some flat soled shoes and enthusiasm to come and try it. We have lots of bowls of different sizes you can use.
The Season – runs from late April to mid September
Open Days – 1 st Wednesday of each month
First Open Day – 6th May 1.45pm – 4.00pm Also one Saturday 16th May 9.30am – 12.00pm
Weekly Roll-up Every Wednesday from 6th May 1.45pm – 4.00pm
Weekly Training Every Saturday from 9th May 9.45am – 12.00pm
(apart from match days or poor weather)
Monthly Socials – Pétanque & Burgers Last Friday of each month from 29th May 5.45pm – 10.00pm £5 for visitors – free first Social £5 for burgers
Wells United Charities Bowls Day 30th July 1.15pm – 4.00pm
Wells Carnival Bowls Day 5th August 1.15pm – 4.00pm
Visitor Fees (apart from first trial session) £5 per person Under 18s No Charge Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult
